The 1970s was a decade that bought such distinctive styling in watch designs and was also an important transitional period in horological technology. The decade continued the transitional electric/electronic technologies and saw the widespread introduction of quartz watches. In the mid-1960s Bob Dylan told us that, "the times they are a-changin", and by the 1970s the results were definitely showing! Here is a collection of photos of watches from that decade with designs ranging from the more classic carry-over from the 1960s to the big and bold styles generally associated with the 1970s.
