I enjoy collecting the odd examples of watchmaking from diverse parts of the world. Russian watches offer some interesting pieces that embody a different approach to watchmaking than we may be used to. There are watches here from Poljot, Vostok, Raketa and Molnija. Some display the bold and quirky designs that are, or at least were, so much a part of Russian timepieces. All of these watches carry Russian-made movements. Although Russian watches have been available with Swiss mechanical movements for some time I'm more interested in the home-grown product.
