Advice from: Stephen R. Kayara

- Is there a photo of the movement? If none, and the user cannot supply one, I run away.

- Is there any corrosion/rust on the movement? If so, I must assume that I will have to strip it down and clean and oil everything. Better yet, if there is such a problem, it is probably indicative of poor maintenance. I run away.

- Snap on cases, by looking at the inside of the caseback, I can see how many times this baby has been opened up. This could indicate a problem watch.

- Has corrosion from the outside been able to penetrate and reach the inside of the case?

- The dial. It must be pleasing. If it needs to be repainted then I have to assume that it will cost me some 100$ and above.

- Unless it states it, I immediately assume that the watch will need a complete 'bath'. Which is why I stick with manual wind watches.
