MONDAY, JUNE 16 -- DRESDEN - Glashütte
Following a lavish breakfast at the hotel, we travel through the Saxon forest to Glashütte to visit our friends at Glashütte Original. GO impresses the crowds and the collectors at Basel every year by introducing several new models and movements. New models introduced over the past couple of years include an updated and great looking Senator line (including a model with a Meissen dial) and an all new and very substantial Sport Evolution line. Lunch will be served in the Atrium Restaurant situated on the premises at GO.

This afternoon we will visit the Glashütte Original - Alfred Helwig School of Watch Making and the German Watch Museum Glashütte-Nicolas G. Hayek foundation. Return to Dresden for dinner and overnight.

TUESDAY, JUNE 17 -- DRESDEN - Glashütte
After breakfast at the hotel, we return to Glashütte to visit A. Lange & Söhne, creator of several modern classics including the Lange 1 and the Datograph. In the minds of many, the re-born Lange is challenging for the title of the best made serial production timepieces. Following our visit to the manufacture, we will enjoy an excellent luncheon on their premises, accompanied by an A. Lange & Söhne management team.

This afternoon we visit part of the world-famous collection of the Mathematisch-Physikalischer Salon. This magnificent collection of precision instruments, vintage watches and clocks is part of the Zwinger in Dresden, which is now under construction. Thus, some of these items are presently housed by A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18 -- DRESDEN - Glashütte
Our final day in Glashütte, the new Mecca of Saxon watch-making, will include visits with the smaller manufactures - Nomos Glashütte and Mühle Glashütte.

Return to Dresden after lunch. One of the highlights is the new and very modern glass structure housing the Volkswagen assembly plant (Click here) (click on English -lower left)
