Call me stupid, but the instuctions clearly said - on this brand new FIRST mechanical watch - "30m water resistance." At the time I figured "I ain't gettin' close to them depths," so what the heck? Plus, I didn't want to take the thing off, ever.

Then I discovered Timezone, and specifically the likes of Ray Purkis. I am now fixed. (I also have 5 other mechanical watches more suited to diving.)

By the way, at the end of 6 mos, the strap was literally disintegrating.

Zero problems with the timepiece, though.
