Charity Watch Auction to Benefit

the Lance Armstrong Foundation

 

TimeZone is pleased to support the efforts of Rick Rosa to raise funds for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Rick is part of the Peloton Project, which is the LAF's primary grassroots fundraising effort. Thanks to Rick's efforts, several watch manufacturers and others have donated items to be auctioned on TimeZone, with all proceeds benefiting the LAF. Special thanks go to these companies for supporting this worthy cause:

Here are the items that will be offered:

 

 

Item # 1: IWC Mark XV

This is IWC's  classic pilot's watch, the Mark XV with white dial in stainless steel on a black buffalo leather strap. The case measures 38 mm in diameter x 9 mm thick, sapphire crystal,  screw down crown, automatic winding, water resistant to 60 meters. MSRP is $3200.  

 

 

Item # 2: Martin Braun Eos

This is the signature watch from Martin Braun - the unique and beautiful Eos. Eos is the Greek goddess of the dawn, and this timepiece is so named because it displays time of the sunrise and sunset.  This complication took Martin six years to develop. The Eos on which you are bidding is stainless steel on an alligator strap with a white dial. The Eos measures 39 mm in diameter and 12.5 mm thick and has an automatic winding movement displayed under a sapphire screw-down exhibition back. The MSRP is $7950.

 

 

Item # 3: CYCLOS a.m. / p.m.

The a.m. / p.m. is the revolutionary timepiece from CYCLOS featuring an hour hand that retracts and extends. This 24-hour dual-phase watch combines the advantages of a classical analogue display with a clear differentiation between a.m./p.m. or the day and night cycles. This is achieved by dividing the double meaning of the usual 12-hour scale into two loops. A radially adjustable hour hand follows this excentric curve and indicates thus all 24 hours clearly, although rotating with normal angular velocity. The Cyclos watch on which you are bidding is stainless steel on a strap with a black dial, and measures 39 mm in diameter x 12.8 mm thick. Water resistant to 50 meters.  The Cyclos has an automatic winding movement that incorporates the patented DualPhase in-house module, and the watch has sapphire crystals front and back. The MSRP is $7000.    

 

 

Item # 4: Panerai Desk Clock

This is a rare and much sought-after desk clock donated by Panerai. The clock measures approximately 7 x 7 inches and has a quartz movement. This beautiful clock is a must-have item for the Panerai enthusiast.  The MSRP is $1050.

 

Item # 5: Montana Watch Co. Bridger Field Watch

This is the Bridger  Field Watch from the Montana Watch Company. Montana hand assembles their watches in their studio located in Livingston, Montana. This watch features a stainless steel case measuring 37 mm in diameter with a crown that is gold plated to 5 microns, a gloss white lacquer dial, domed sapphire crystal, and an automatic winding ETA 2824-2 movement. The strap is Bison leather with a stainless steel buckle. A hardwood presentation box is included. The MSRP is $1595.   

  

 

Item # 6: David Yurman Thoroughbred

You are bidding on one Thoroughbred by David Yurman. This stainless steel and sterling silver watch features an automatic winding movement displayed through an exhibition back,  blue lacquer dial with quick-set date at 3 and stick hour markers. The case measures 35 mm in diameter. The elegant bracelet features David Yurman's trademark cable motif. Water resistant to 30 meters. Sapphire crystal with a blue stone on the tip of the crown. The MSRP is $2550.

 

Item # 7: Frederique Constant Carree

This is a classic rectangular watch by Frederique Constant has a stainless steel case, black leather strap, and silver dial with small seconds at 6. The case measures 37 x 26 mm and is water resistant to 3 atmospheres. The movement is quartz, and the MSRP is $500.   

 

 

Item # 8: Ball Watch Co. Inspector II

This is the Inspector II by the Ball Watch Co. This watch uses patented gas light technology to provide the world's first illuminated calendar in an automatic winding watch, without the need to push a button. The Inspector is constructed with highly corrosion resistant stainless steel and is equipped with an inner anti-magnetic soft iron jacket to withstand a magnetic field of 4,800 a/m. This watch offers 200 m water resistance and comes with anti-glare doomed sapphire crystal. This rugged timepiece can endure a 1 m hammer test, and its metal bracelet is anti-scratch stainless steel with solid extension security buckle. The MSRP is $ 1075.00
